Last week the students of Primary 6 were told about a new fun and creative project: Art@Heart. More than 2800 people from schools in Slovenia, France, Croatia, Austria, and our school will participate in different activities over the next two years. We discussed the meaning of the title:

ART represents activities involving drawing, painting, arts and crafts, music and drama.

@ is a symbol for connecting with each other and using different tools and mobile applications during the project.

HEART speaks about everything concerning health and lifestyle. The project will help us know more about children of our age in different countries and allow us to compare culture, tradition and lifestyles.

We were asked to design a logo for the project and the three winning logos from our school will take part in a competition with the other schools. Two teachers from our school will meet up in Slovenia at the end of November to plan this year's activities.

We think this project is a great opportunity to use English in a real way.
